To speak of the Cafe Race style is to refer to much more than classic bikes. It takes us to a world with a taste for vintage, where the aesthetics of the motorcycle takes precedence over the technology of its components. The origin of the cafe racer style goes back to the United Kingdom of the 50s, and to some young bikers and rockers who wanted their utility bikes to be faster. The name "cafe race" is due to the fact that these bikers made races from coffee to coffee, in the time that a rock song lasted. And among them arose the rivalry to prove who was faster. To achieve this, they resorted to modifying the bikes, taking parts from other brands, lightening them by removing items such as headlights, mirrors or batteries. They made modifications looking for a more aerodynamic position, delaying the footrests, putting sports handlebars, etc. In any case, the cafe racer motorcycles are distinguished because each one is unique. The degree of personalization is maximum. They also share that their engines are air-cooled. And, on many occasions, the cafe racer pieces have to be manufactured by a workshop because they are discontinued. Without a doubt, the cafe race style is a fashion, but it also implies a way of seeing life and of differentiating itself.
